Girls Playing Counter Strike, Let's talk about this topic... Options

Hello, everyone xD

As you all might already have noticed, I am a girl (No joking, I really am ;)). What do you think of this? Do you think that girls who play Counter Strike suck? Most of you probably think so. I know that there are many prejudices. But what the hell is the reason that many guys think it's impossible for us girls to play as good as the boys? I mean, we've got a brain and fingers, too, so I really don't understand that ;)

And what about the fact that only few girls play this game? I am a girl myself and I really enjoy playing this kind of games. Am I weird because of that? *lol* I enjoy holding a gun in my hand (Only in the game though).

And do you think it's embarassing when a girl is better than a guy? Is there a reason to be ashamed then?

Somehow it's also cool being the only girl here in this group. I feel somehow special *lol*

As the last state of things, it seems that we will have a second girl in our team soon. She is just starting with the game, but i thought it would be good to make you a little company. Would be cool to evolve a girls section in the clan


I like girl/girls in the group, becouse i thing that a girl presence make boys some better. They are trying harder to show them playing good, they stop to use nasty sprays, their language is better...

Society without girls would be boring ^^

Wow, great post, Max ;) I didn't know the "try-harder-thingy", but I guess you're right. But some idiots (not the people in our team but other people) make more nasty comments than before when seeing a girl -.- But I have to live with that and it's okay. Wow, I didn't know we will have another girl here soon, too, that's kinda cool :D And I am not good, I have to improve a lot. But I am sure I will learn a lot of things by you and the other prophets ;)

So rather than play the game, they concentrate on the chat area and are constantly asking her questions. My girlfriend also plays CS:S (among many other games), but she doesn't typically announce to everyone that she's a girl. I see what you're saying, M4X, about being a positive influence, but it seems that most guys would rather ask "the girl gamer" questions about how she looks than care how good she is at playing games.

She has not to be godlike. And the behavior of other guys can be influenced by admins or other base-players. A boy can try to be aven worse or nasty or to show himself... believing its funny or cool. But if the girl remains calm, if she do not answer stupid questions or provocations and if it is done by other playing boys (who protect her and who make to the stupid ones know that it is stupid and not funny), the girl presence can improve the game experience.



PS: Do you have any idea how to convince the others in C.A. to join the forum?

I was agreeing with what you were saying, but I was just pointing out the "mob mentality". When one person starts being a moron, more people follow. And yes, it really is up to both the girl gamer to act mature about the comments and maybe even some other players to step up and tell the goofballs to knock it off. Typically if the guys on the server aren't really young, they are able to play nicely with pretty much anyone who joins the server and really don't mind/care if a girl joins.

If I knew how to attract people to forums, the forums on my webpage would be a little busier.
I usually try to reference the forums in any public announcement and try to keep a few decent topics going. Once people see a topic they like, they'll usually post.

well i dont care if there is a girl or a boy i am playing with.

I think most girls dont like this game becouse they are girls, sounds funny but it is like that. There are a lot of games girls like and boys dont like. But i think you dont have to be weird becouse you play it.

And i think girls can be as good as boys in this game. Like Kinny she is a very good gamer. Thats my opinion to that.

Before i join this clan i was playing on a lot of other servers, and DHAJ is right a lot of boys are saying nasty things if they know there is a girl playing. They are writing and speaking with their mics and do not realy play. Look my first sentence, i dont care.

I think there shoul be no difference between boys and girls playing this game. Both can play good or not so good, even boys can be bad(if you belive it or not ).

My opinion is: if girl play cs, or other multiplayer game, and do it well, She is realy needed.
I am the men, so i prefere girls, <sorry guys >. So if girl will join my team i'm 100% sure that we will cooperate realy great, 'cause I understand girls better...and i like them more xD

Because not many people use the radio chat function but you do and that's cool because in my opinion it's much better playing with that radio chats, and I think it's exactly made for that purpose so everyone should use it whenever it's possible

Yeah, you're absolutely right. There should be more radio messages, like for example "I take the point", or "I've got your back" and stuff like that :-/ I hope there will be added more soon if it's actually possible... xD A command like "Split up, team" would be helpful and cool, too :-/

I want to say it on the start of EVERY round, but there is not that option...and in CS there is no time to writing while playing, so i don't write it :/

It does not suck if a girl play counter strike games. I haven't played counter strike yet but I played other battle games, like Warcraft and others. Actually it is cool to know that girls play counter strike

Well, this girl was pretty good at css, and she is really good girl. And she had a good credit in the gaming commnity back in those times... long before she started this thread.
If you have some problems with girls, try to find somebody who can help you. I can not help you online.

And: when playing on our servers or trying to write on these forums... watch your mouth. Its always a good thing to do.
